The story behind Nosy Pony

Nosy Pony is a style of art that really came to me by accident. I took a photo of my horse, Polly and did a quick sketch on black paper to see what it was like drawing something a little bit more unusual. The response I got on Instagram gave me the drive to draw the image again but on a larger scale and ever since I put that image out into the World, the nosy pony craze was born!

So much connection happens between horses and humans through their muzzles. Looking back at photos of me with my horses, past and present, reminds me that creating these Nosy Pony drawings is so much more than just quirky horse art - it's a way of connecting people to horses in the same way you would connect to a horse in real life.

As more and more clients started asking for a portrait in this particular angle, I realised I had something unique and launched the Nosy Pony exhibition in 2024. 9 clients signed up to get a framed nosy pony portrait drawn which I exhibited at The Game Fair in 2024.

In 2025, a couple of my social media posts caught the attention of The Jockey Club and I was contacted about creating some artwork of racehorses in my nosy pony style. This led to a 6 month long collaboration with Cheltenham Racecourse, where they commissioned me to create 6 legends of Cheltenham. Each original piece has been donated or auctioned to social media followers, email subscribers or members of Cheltenham Racecourse.

It is now 2026 and my new nosy pony print collection is about to be released. Due to a few recent viral nosy pony videos, I am booked out until 2027 with portraits, mainly in the nosy pony style! I feel so grateful to have found a unique style that so many horse owners relate to and I I have many plans on where I can take Nosy Pony in the future, so stay tuned...
