Commission FAQ's

It depends on the time of the year. Currently, my commissions are full until September 2025.

Payment options are different depending on whether you are in the U.K. or not.

United Kingdom payment options:

- Pay in full

- Spread the cost

International payment options:

- Pay in full

- Pay in 2 (Flexible second payment - must be paid one month prior to portrait being started)

Spread the cost is an affordable payment plan, splitting the full price of a commission into 5 equal payments.

I use GoCardless to create a direct debit which is taken from your account on a day of the month that suits you (the first payment is taken separately to secure your booking)

GoCardless is easy to use, you do not need to create an account and only need to set up a direct debit once.

For International clients, you can choose to pay in 2. The first half must be paid to secure your booking and the second half can be flexible - it must be paid one month prior to your portrait being started.

Delivery is free for both U.K. and International orders

If the commission is being sent within the U.K., then I use Royal Mail Special Delivery service which is a guaranteed next day delivery.

All U.K. orders will be posted flat with a mount, unless you choose a large size. This will come unmounted and rolled.

You also have the option to collect if you are local to Stratford-upon-Avon, or I can deliver within 1 hours distance.

For all international orders, orders are posted using Transglobal express. These will all come rolled as a tube is the safest way to send artwork.

All the artwork will either be protected by the Royal Mail Special Delivery service compensation scheme, or insured for any orders going overseas.

I ensure that I have proof of collection for all of my portraits.

I will need photographic evidence of any damage to be able to make a claim.

Getting another portrait to you will be my first priority, but as you will understand, it is not a quick solution and I will need time to create another piece. Whilst you wait for your portrait to be redone, I will send you a complementary giclee print of your portrait.

Since starting my business, luckily I have never had to claim for any loss or have never had to redo any work, but these measures are in place incase the worst should happen.

A mount is the bevelled card which sits around the portrait, and when framed, creates a border between the artwork and the frame.

I use archival mounts which means they are less likely to fade and the mounts I use colour match the paper very well.

I don't offer framing, but I am able to give out framing advice.

For all international orders, mounts are not included because you cannot roll the artwork when it has been mounted.

The large size does not come mounted and will be rolled for both U.K. and International orders.

I do not cover any customs charges or taxes, these are the responsibility of the recipient.
