STYLING YOUR HOME

Advice and easy hacks for hanging gallery walls and single pieces of art.

Gallery Walls

If you're the sort of home owner who loves lots of prints, then a gallery wall is the perfect solution.

Laying one out can be daunting if you've never done it before. My best advice is to work from the middle outwards.

Below are some gallery wall templates I have designed for you to use.

Statement Pieces

A large piece of art, often known as a statement piece, should really be hung in a prominent position in your home.

You may want it to be in full view for your guests to see and hung above a fireplace, or kept for your own pleasure in your bedroom and hung above the bed.

As a general rule, the piece of art, including the frame, should be 2/3 or 3/4 the width of your furniture.

The Toothpaste Hack

Ever wandered how to get the nail in the wall perfect every time? Put a dot of toothpaste onto the hook at the back of the frame. Press the frame into the wall and it will leave a small toothpaste mark. Put your nail where the toothpaste mark is and voila, your nail is in the perfect place. Simply wipe the toothpaste off!
