There are times in our lives when we experience pivotal moments of realisation. This piece was one of those moments for me. Blending realism with abstract elements for the first time, I stepped outside my comfort zone—just like the horse in mid-air, pushing forward with confidence. The softened edges and dynamic strokes create a sense of movement, reflecting the feeling of leaping into something new, taking a chance, and trusting the journey ahead.

A celebration of growth, bravery, and the thrill of showjumping, this fine art print is perfect for equestrian and horse lovers who know what it means to take a leap of faith.

I created this piece when I was experiencing the desire for change, breaking free from just working in colour pencil. During this experimental phase where I started leaning towards pastels and focussing on equestrian art, Flying Forward was created. It symbolises embracing change, pushing forward and taking a leap of faith.
